Up on the North West of Maui’s picturesque landscapes lies Ironwoods Beach, Kapalua. A serene haven where the sound of crashing waves and the whisper of the wind create a backdrop of peace and calm. It was here that the Berdis family decided to capture their cherished maternity moments through a family photo session.
As the morning sun cast its golden rays upon the sandy shores, the Berdis family gathered for their maternity shoot. Adding another member to the family is an important time to capture, especially with Townes, their 1 year old and his growing excitement for a baby brother or sister.
Ironwoods Beach
With its rugged cliffs and sweeping sands provides the perfect canvas for their family portraits. The sun peaks over the cliffs creating beautiful skies in the early morning. Ironwoods rarely gets crowded as it’s such a long stretch of beach, but in the early mornings it’s even more quiet with no one around, just the sound of the crashing waves.
As a photographer my job is to capture the most authentic moments, so I directed the Berdis family to play, walk, and swing little Townes, all poses made to capture the emotion of a little toddler perfectly.
